Mike has been a chartered accountant for over 30 years, a registered liquidator for over 20 years and has also specialised in forensic accounting. Mike was a founding partner of McGrathNicol in 2004 and previously worked for KPMG.
Mike has undertaken insolvency assignments, performed viability assessments, undertaken governance and business case reviews and acted as both an independent expert and consulting expert in matters being litigated through the Federal Court and state Supreme Courts. Mike has a particular focus on the preparation of expert reports dealing with the solvency of organisations. Mike has also been a director of an APRA licensed superannuation Acting Trustee. Mike has undertaken regulatory work for ASIC and APRA as well as for the Queensland Non-State Schools Accreditation Board focusing on governance and insolvency related matters.
